From topping the singer/songwriter charts, to opening for Pete Murray, singing for Bon Jovi, and touring internationally all before she could take her first legal drink- , Vendulka is an artist who shows no signs of slowing down. A versatile and highly original songwriter who draws from both contemporary musical influences and a rich Eastern European folk heritage, Vendulka is a mesmerising solo performer whose career has seen her perform from folk and indie music festival stages to showcasing at Australian Music Week 2018.
A two time Australian National Busking Champion - , this 21 year old has won over audiences on streets, at festivals and from the comfort of their own homes. Vendulka appeared on the 2019 season of The Voice and her unique version of Culture Club’s ‘Karma Chameleon’ proved to be a crowd favourite, with over 1.7 million views online (and still climbing!). Her rendition was so captivating that Boy George himself joined her on stage and sang his song in Vendulka’s style. This publicly acclaimed rendition has led to many opportunities, one of which was a speaker’s slot at Canberra’s very own TEDx salon “No Place Like Home”.
Make no mistake- Vendulka is a compelling artist. Her most recent release ‘Good Words’ has just been announced as a semi finalist for the Listen Up 2019 Songwriting Prize from hundreds of Australia wide entries.
Joined on stage for this intimate performance at Bar 303 by Viktor Rufus on guitar, Josh Richens on bass, Joel Davy on cello and Ethan Mestroni on drums - this is an evening you don't want to miss!
