Flood Relief @ 303

  • 303 303 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

Amber Mic is hosting a series of fundraiser shows across for the people affected by the NSW/QLD Floods. The floods have caused so much devastation in Northern NSW & in parts of QLD and we're hosting a series of shows "Flood Relief" in Mar, Apr & May to help raise much needed funds for these people.
The Sat Apr 23rd Flood Relief show at Bar 303 in Northcote will feature Melbourne indie acts Aaron Paterson, Sun Traitors, Select All & Naked Face.
Aaron Paterson is an indie rock singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria. Aaron brings a unique blend of heartfelt acoustic/rock songs that make you think about life, love, and everything in-between. Aaron's second album 'Violet Morning' is set for release September 25th.
Sun Traitors are a modern day, hard rock power trio from Melbourne, Australia. Joining the Melbourne music scene with their debut release in 2018, the lads have become known for their hard hitting live shows and their original sound which draws on elements of grunge, metal, psych and prog.
Sun Traitors cover new ground musically on their second release ‘Dark Matter’ and the band also take a step deeper lyrically as the 5 track EP explores themes of dissension and struggle and the journey to personal elation and empowerment. Scheduled for release later in the year, the band will have to settle for a live streamed performance of the EP but plans for a return to the stage are already in the works!
Select All are an alternative band from Melbourne Australia, formed in 2019. Main inspirations are Deftones and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Melbourne based band Naked Face, who’ve refused to be pigeonholed or genre stereotyped, burst into the scene in the midst of a global pandemic, showing that they have created their own sound, where each song tells a story in a style of its own.
They are a three-piece band spawned deep within the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, composed of Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Steve ‘Slik’, Drummer Nathan ‘Stone’ and Guitarist/Vocalist Eddy ‘Seagoon’.
Back in 2017, Steve Slik met Nathan Stone in a band he had auditioned for, and their love and passion for music united the two to form a band of their own. In 2019 whilst seeking a guitarist, the band came across UK-born Eddy Seagoon who had recently moved from Sydney. After auditioning Ed, his unique vocal tone and playing style immediately cemented him into Naked Face.
In August of 2020, Naked Face released their debut single ‘Beach Punk’ during the height of COVID-19, instantly creating a global cult following of fans around the world, sending the song up to #1 on Triple J’s unearthed Punk, Rock, and Indie charts for over two consecutive weeks.
The Naked Face sound is a cauldron of Pop/Rock/Punk melodically driven high energy music. They live fast and play loud, with toe-tapping songs about separation, social alienation, self-doubt, neglect, betrayal, social and emotional, isolation, with a desire for freedom, and is catchy as hell!
