Hector’s Wednesdays in June at Bar 303
What’s better than the middle of winter, the deep hole that is term two and the feeling that the sun is only around for 15 minutes each day? It’s Hector’s Wednesdays in June at Bar 303 of course, where you will be warmed by the music, saved by conversation and brightened by the fun of it all. Yes it’s true, every single Wednesday in June except for the 18th because I have a school concert and they won’t let me leave, my quartet and I will be playing at Bar 303 which is super close to where you live!
The evening will start with doors at 7pm and the support at 7:30, featuring some very special guest bands. This will be followed shortly by a set of my quartet’s new original music that we’ll be recording only weeks after this residency finishes. This will all be done and dusted by only 9:30pm, giving you plenty of time to race home for an early night, refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your week with a spring in your step and a song in your heart.
To sweeten the deal, it’s only a measly $15 entry, which goes directly towards paying the band far less than their worth, with any left-overs going towards paying my three overdue parking fines from outside brunswick metro woolies. If you’re still craving a little more expenditure, we will have some of my first album “Mansfield” for sale as physical CDs once I blow the dust off them and sign them with my special pen with a special message for you like “To you from me” or something like that.
So come on down, this June to Bar 303, and enjoy a night spent with friends listening to local original music that lets you forget about your worries and look forward to the arrival of spring.
