Nick Murray – The "Hell You Made" Tour - Melbourne - March 2018

“Remindful of a late Townes Van Zandt, Murray’s gothic take on the genre is simple, yet brain-rattling; relatable, yet completely detached from reality. His music is a giant contradiction that exudes authenticity…a man no blues fan can afford to miss.” – Happy Magazine, 2015

“…the slide guitarist bares his soul, exuding a rustic, country aura…Australia’s own Derek Trucks gets his guitar quivering with emotion.” – Rhythms Magazine, 2016

Nick Murray is heading back out on the Australian roads for the “Hell You Made” Tour throughout 2018. Since releasing his debut EP “Blue Fruits” in 2016 and the live album “The Van Sessions” in 2017, Murray has honed his craft, refining his sound and his message. With a collection of new songs and a fire in the belly, he is embarking on a national tour starting in Melbourne. Nick Murray is a Sydney-based Folk-Blues 'n' Roots singer-songwriter. His songs deal with current issues surrounding social injustice and environmental damage. Drawing from his folk roots, Nick brings his story-telling abilities to those who will listen. His distinct acoustic slide guitar sound and energetic vocals create a refreshing foundation for his musical message. With his imposing stature and roaring voice, Nick Murray is not one to be ignored.

Simon Imrei

Melbourne singer/songwriter Simon Imrei returns with Let Go, the first single off his forthcoming second studio album, The Sum of Scenes, and the first release since Imrei’s debut album, Branching Inward. A seasoned live performer, having toured with the likes of The Basics, Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, Nicholas Roy & more, 2017-18 marks a return to performing his original music and reconnecting with audiences in both intimate acoustic settings, as well as in venues and festivals with his full band lineup.

Hailing from the Mornington Peninsula, Simon spent his childhood riding in the back of cars along tree-lined roads and through quiet towns listening to the catchy choruses and the pop sensibility of 80s radio. At home, it was his parents’ record collection which paired the storytelling songs of Paul Simon and Bob Dylan with the bluesy guitar playing of Jimi Hendrix and Santana. It wasn’t until after a family Christmas spent in Geelong with his grandfather, listening to jazz and watching his uncle play Buddy Rich rudiments on the drums, that Simon discovered his love for rhythm. This underlying aspect of movement and groove has underpinned his guitar playing and songwriting ever since.

Emma Yarosh

Over the last couple of years, singer/songwriter Emma Yarosh has quickly carved out a reputation across Melbourne’s south-east for her effortlessly smooth and heartfelt renditions of modern favorites and unique interpretations of well-known classics. Emma has also been preparing to record her debut EP of her original material in 2018.

In this time, Emma has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of Melbourne’s most acclaimed up and coming live acts. Having supported energetic street-performer duo Barely Standing at one of their local shows, Emma has gone on to be part of the inaugural Women’s Guitar Collective in Northcote, perform as part of the Ruby Gill Trio at the Paris Cat Jazz Club (Melbourne) and host & appear at the St Kilda showcase, Songs In The South. In late 2017, Emma performed with Aussie rockers Kingswood on their Australian tour as a backing vocalist.
