This event takes place on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We respect elders past, present and future.
Augustine Ang launches the first single "Always Changing" off his upcoming album. There will also be a special screening of the music video for the single. $10 entry to the cosy back room of Bar 303. Some pretty cool supports on the bill, altogether making a massive mouthful of 14 syllables.
3:33PM Sharks Country Explosion Picture a Great White Shark wearing an Akubra with TNT strapped to its dorsal fin. That is what Sharks Country Explosion sounds like. From the deep cool waters of the inner north, Sharks brings you traditional country and folk with some bite.
4:23PM This Day Last Year Solo music project of Australian songwriter Shannon Steinfort. Her first foray into playing guitar live, after having cut her teeth on the local rock scene as bassist in Melbourne’s three-piece punk gang The Girl Fridas. The name This Day Last Year comes from Shannon’s zine series, which incorporates photography, musical recommendations, candid anecdotes and fragments of personal thoughts. Much like the content of her zines, Shannon’s songwriting is intimate and uncontrived, and often touches upon heartbreak and disappointment (but sometimes she sings nice things about her dog too).
5:23PM Augustine Ang Lo-fi indie folk inspired by travel and discovery, isolation and familiarity, growth and decay, hearts and brains. Augustine is on a journey of self exploration through nostalgic and mellow tunes. Some say he's stuck in the 90s, inspired by artists such as Elliott Smith and Neutral Milk Hotel. Augustine's debut album is to be released later in 2018. He will be accompanied by Lachlan Cox of Smirks. https://soundcloud.com/augustine-ang https://augustineang.bandcamp.com/
