hosted by Hypnotech - In my life as a performing DJ (18 years now?! jeesh) I have done a few marathon sets, but never once in a public venue.
Usually these situations take place in strange and remote outdoor locations, or at bent private parties with an intimate group of very intoxicated people. Exploration with the limits of the mind and the diversity of sound I'll conjure from my music collection becomes a breeding ground for novelty and hallucination. Genres lose meaning, experimentation abounds, and music is truly the drug.
I'll have no idea what I'm going to play. We wont know where we are going until we begin. I'm aiming to speed up the tempo throughout the night, and by the end .... who knows where we will have been? Many have said "The journey is the reward" - Come along for the ride, going on an adventure is always better with friends.
Shiptu Shaboo Designs will be providing visual intoxicant projections for journey.
Bar 303 is intimate, has a great vibe and will provide the vessel for our trip.
