/////RAMEN After a deep investigation of new groove concepts, RAMEN is proud to release their second EP, ”The Light”. It is both a meditation and celebration of long-form rhythmic cycles coloured with groove and improvisation.
Drawing heavily from prog-rock, jazz and minimal house, Light features original compositions inspired by Lackmann’s intensive study with Greg Sheehan and Nik Bärtsch. Previously a more bombastic quintet, the trio create a focussed, but ambient space and clarity for the music to gently unfold.
Listeners may float in a sea of syncopation while others may sink into a polyrhythmic-funk abyss over 2 sets in the back room at Bar 303.
”The Light” comes out on digital format on the 12/12/19, on Boundary Records.
