Tekwani are an ensemble based in Naarm/Melbourne whose music is a genuine melting pot of influences. The music features a unique stringed instrument from Cuba called a Tres, and combines this with horns, synths and rhythm section to play a special blend of latin hip-hop and funk.
Band members have toured countless festivals and shows all over the world, from Glastonbury to Woodford, South America to South Australia, in bands such as Vance Joy, Amaru Tribe, Saskwatch, Pataphysics, Good Luck Omen and many more.
