For the past decade, guitarist, composer & New Zealander Peter Koopman has called Sydney home. Drawing inspiration from Australia’s rich & diverse music scene, he has developed a unique musical voice & a high level of versatility on the guitar, & was the winner of the 2022 National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta jazz festival.

Joining Pete will be Ben Vanderwal (Perth) on drums and Sam Anning (Melb) on bass, two hugely original and prolific voices in their own right, with a long history of playing together. They will be exploring some brand new original material which is due to be recorded later this month, as well as some reworkings of favourites from the jazz tradition.

In 2023 Peter released his debut album "Now Where", a collection of original tunes recorded live at Golden Retriever studios on Gadigal land in Sydney. Also sought-after as a sideman, he has performed around Australia & internationally with artists such as Vince Jones, Katie Noonan, Will Vinson, Aloe Blacc, Donny Benét & Matt McMahon among others.
