On Friday the 9th Feb, Spencer will be unveiling the Apple Septet new approach in this monumental debut as he leaves behind the Appleman persona, stepping into a new chapter for the old music of Appleman's songs.
The Apple septet is:
Matt Milsom - Drums
Alfie Pleasance - Congas
Jim Adams - Keys2
Flynn Sky-McCormick - Guitar
Wilsen Conn - Bass
Spencer Hughes - Keys/Vocal
Tyla Moonchild - Vocals
Spencer Hughes' approach to composition is informed by his visual artwork delving into film, photography, and painting. Having drawn from other personal aliases such as Corduroy Boy and 10-piece group Chicken Wishbone, his roots have early been laid in hip-hop/jazz styles which evolved towards afro-cuban dance styles. Most recently, he has released an array of jazz electronic EP’s delving into solo production and short film as Appleman.
