July 17th Reply All: Chris Johnstone meets Julien Wilson 

A first time meeting between Julien Wilson and Canberra guitarist Chris Johnstone. Chris has been compared to jazz greats such as Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall and Grant Green and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the styles of the jazz guitarists form the 50s and 60s. He also possesses infallible technique, and a disarming sense of humour. This gig will have the hallmarks of the great “meeting sessions” of the Prestige era. They will be joined by bassist Sam Anning and drummer Sam Bates.

This will be a first time meeting on stage between Melbourne stalwart Julien Wilson and ex Queensland, Canberra-based guitarist, Chris Johnstone. Featuring the superbly deep and driving rhythm section of bassist Sam Anning (ex Perth) and drummer Sam Bates (ex Brisbane)
