LUME /w Natasha Lowe + Anja Dulker

  • 303 303 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

LUME is a monthly residency at Bar 303 that features some of the most exciting emerging female and gender diverse musicians in the Australian music scene.

8pm - Natasha Lowe - Natasha’s compositions thrive around storytelling, primarily written initially vocally to then be transferred to saxophone. Taking inspiration from Audrey Powne, Ckallebe Mendes, and Joe Tatton, she uses traditional jazz instrumentation to bring a modern and unique sound to her playing. Working with her quintet comprised of piano, electric bass, drums, trombone, and tenor sax, she puts an emphasis on performing interactively and with intent. Natasha Lowe aims to highlight both section playing through her melodies, and improvised and supportive rhythm section playing. After gaining experience in the industry over the last few years, she now works on recording and releasing her debut album.
