RESIDENCY Every Wednesday in November

Melbourne-based trumpeter Marley Del Prete brings his signature blend of spiritual jazz and free improvisation to 303 for a special four-week residency this November. Drawing on influences like Don Cherry, Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders, Marley’s performances are rich in melodic exploration, trance-like grooves, and spontaneous ensemble interplay.

Each week will feature a unique lineup of some of Melbourne’s most adventurous improvisers, offering fresh interpretations and evolving soundscapes across the month.

This residency follows the release of Marley’s acclaimed debut album Movement, and his powerful new single “Sacred Heart / Sama” featuring UK saxophonist Nat Birchall — expanding his sonic universe into deeper devotional territory.

Expect meditative moments, fiery interplay, and a celebration of live improvisation in the 303 front bar.
