7:30pm - The Dozeytones
The Dozeytones are led by Yael Marks with the purpose of bringing traditional jazz to the younger generation. They often play a mixture of standards, Aus jazz tunes, and originals. At LUME, the Dozeytones will be playing all original compositions, inspired by artists such as John Scurry and Allan Browne. You can often find the Dozeytones gigging around Melbourne or busking on a Sunday morning!
8:30pm - BIGFATCRUSH
BIGFATCRUSH is a Naarm-based vocalist performing original songs that weave a unique tapestry of rnb, pop and live dance music. Backed by a heavy-hitting four-piece band, BIGFATCRUSH will bring you a joyful and eclectic bundle of musical textures, ranging from slow and mysterious grooves to up-tempo disco. It’s time to brush off the cobwebs!
9:30pm - Sylvie Evans
Sylvie is a Naarm/Melbourne based jazz and contemporary vocalist. Her vocal style is heavily influenced by some heavyweights of the jazz world - Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Jazzmeia Horn, while also drawing inspiration from current artists in the pop, contemporary and R&B sphere, including Olivia Dean and Cleo Sol. Sylvie will be weaving together a set of both original music, and music by some of her favourite female artists for Lume.
