This show is part of a series of different acts curated by Julien Wilson at 303 on Wednesdays in April and May.

Stephen and Julien have been playing in bands together since the mid 90s when they met at VCA. So many bands they can't even remember the names of them all. They have a special connection based on years of shared experiences, but also, that chemistry was immediately apparent when they first played together in the early 90s. They have an uncanny knack of making a unison melody sound like it is being played with one mind.

For this gig they will be joined by fellow compatriots Sam Anning and Kyrie Anderson for an exciting night or original music and improvisation.

For nearly three decades Julien Wilson has been an exciting and integral member of the Australian Jazz Scene. His tenor saxophone style can cover an incredibly broad stylistic and emotional range and is featured on over 80 albums. He has received a number of prestigious awards, both personally and as an integral member of a variety of critically acclaimed co-operative bands. In 2013 he formed Lionsharecords to release and distribute his own recordings. His work with the label was recognised by the 2015 APRA Art Music Award for EXCELLENCE IN JAZZ.
