Renowned Hammond organist Michel Bénébig returns to Bar 303 for a powerful night of soul jazz, blues and groove-driven improvisation.
Born in New Caledonia, Michel has built an international career performing across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, France and beyond. His command of the Hammond B3 organ and deep connection to the jazz organ tradition place him among the leading voices in the genre today.
With early roots in classical piano and a passion for artists like Jimmy Smith, Lonnie Smith and Rhoda Scott, Michel brings decades of musical experience to every performance. His shows are energetic, expressive and rooted in the language of swing, blues and rhythm.
Named Organist of the Month by the International Archives for the Jazz Organ, Michel has shared stages with some of the world’s greatest jazz organists and continues to champion the artform through performance, education and collaboration.
Join us at Bar 303 for a rare Melbourne appearance by one of the world’s most respected soul jazz organists.
