LUME is a monthly residency at Bar 303 that features some of the most exciting female and gender diverse musicians in the Australian music scene.

Bella Cloud a songwriter with roots in San Diego, California (USA) now based in Naarm after the launch of her debut EP, The Limerent, which along with the rest of her songs nestles itself somewhere between the genres of folk, indie rock, and chamber pop. Cloud’s music often arrives through fruitful vessels such as open tunings, delicate finger picking, and illustrative lyricism and creates a reflective, honest, and excavating experience for listeners with open ears.

Sydney born, Melbourne based improviser and songwriter Maisie Niven ditches the comfort of instrumental music for the vulnerability of lyrics and song. An exploration of anxiety, magic thought, memory, identity, and growth, Maisie's music is foremost an exercise in openness. Inspired by a love of Andy Shauf, Cameron Winter, Adrienne Lenker, and Margaret Glaspy, you are guaranteed to enjoy this performance.
