Hailing from Gumbaynggirr country (Coffs Harbour) Josephine Ether has been honing her skills as a self taught singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, poet and performer since her early teen years. Inspired by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Nai Palm, her music dances between neosoul, folk and indie. Since moving to Magandjin (Brisbane) in 2023, Josephine’s unmissable live vocals, tender story telling and enchanting stage presence have quickly made her a staple in the Brisbane RnB/Soul music scene. With undeniable artistry and emotional depth that peers into the innermost parts of you, Josephine Ether is an artist your soul will thank you for listening to.
Do Not Disturb is a Melbourne-based Alt-R&B / Electro-Soul band reimagining the boundaries of contemporary R&B. With a five-piece lineup featuring two keyboardists, the band blends soulful foundations with layered synths and electronic textures to create a sound that is both rich and distinctly their own. Drawing inspiration from neo-soul pioneers like Erykah Badu and genre bending acts such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Do Not Disturb weave together groove driven rhythms and experimental soundscapes.
At its core, the band is about connection, using music as a space to foster genuine human connection and create moments that extend beyond the music itself.
