The elusive Ultravibralux have teamed up again with the Chai Light Ninja for night of kaleidoscopic sound and visuals.
Returning to earth to play their first show at Bar 303 since the alien obduction, Ultravibralux bring esoteric sounds from the outer asteroid belt. This 6-piece outfit is made up of drums, percussion guitar, bass, keys, sax & trumpet. The music, a unique cocktail of cinematic psychedelic funk that takes cues from greats like the JB’s, Frank Zappa, Funkadelic, Lalo Schifrin, Mulatu Astake, Herbie, Miles & Fella. Fuelled by the valve-soaked sounds of 60s & 70s Ultravibralux combine sophisticated horn arrangements, heavy hitting baselines and deep wah-wah grooves that will have you reaching for your bell bottoms and feather boas! They will be performing songs from their first full length album ‘Secret Level’ along with a bevy of new tunes.
