Recorded over 3 days in March at Sound Park Studios with Andrew 'Idge' Hehir at the helm, BEIJING BABY is an artrock, post punk schizoid sonic journey through 20th century China as lived by front woman Beijing Ballerina Bianca and her family - Exploring themes of authoritarianism, patriarchal domination, consumerism and desire with a hint at our contemporary social and political predicaments.
The performance will feature Bianca's (un)usual balletic theatrix, synthesizer acrobatics from Felix Chappalardi, guitar wizardry from Zach Rembrandt, and the thumping Milk Bar Gang rhythm section.
